University of Applied Sciences
To provide students with practical knowledge in addition to their scientific education — which is documented through their university degrees — my chair has established collaborations with several institutions and organizations. Through these collaborations, students have the opportunity to acquire industry-recognized certificates even during their studies.
Several models are available for this purpose. In cases where course content closely aligns with certification requirements, students can earn certificates directly through their academic coursework. Here, they must complete both the standard university exams and the external certification assessments. Alternatively, specialized courses are offered during semester breaks for interested students. Students either bear the costs of these courses themselves or sponsors support individual courses or students by covering the costs.
The most certification program currently runs as an e-learning format through the erp4students program. Here, we train approximately 4,000-5,000 students per year in current SAP topics. For more information, visit the program's website: www.erp4students.org.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive an eZertifikat.
The erp4students program at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2021 and opens the qualification courses to students from all over the world.
„15 years ago, we started with 63 participants – as an e-learning training for students in the field of business application software”, Prof. Dr. Heimo Adelsberger recalls, who launched the erp4students program back in 2006. “Today, it turned out to be something big and we could already welcome our 50,000th participant.”...
The Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (THB) was founded in 1992 and is a modern campus university based in Brandenburg an der Havel. The university's range of courses extends across the subject areas of computer science and media, technology, and business - increasingly also in part-time and dual formats. The THB particularly promotes the possibility of studying without a secondary school leaving examination. The almost 2,700 students are supervised by 67 professors. All courses lead to a bachelor's or master's degree. More information on www.th-brandenburg.de
